ENERGY COMMUNITIES · AN ARSC INITIATIVE

STUP - the community that produces its own energy.

We help you start your hive (stup, in Romanian), from idea to implementation. Neighbours, businesses, the school, the city hall. Together we produce energy. STUP sets up and runs energy communities for city halls and citizens.

What exactly
is an energy community?

A group of people (neighbours, the city hall, the school, businesses) who produce together the energy they use. The panels sit on the roofs of public buildings or on their own land. The money stays with you, in the community.

You produce

Panels on the roofs of the city hall, the school and the members. What you share with your neighbours becomes shared production: autonomous, clean, local.

You consume

The energy travels through the grid, but it belongs to your community. Every member's bill goes down directly, by between 20% and 60%, depending on the case.

You sell the surplus

What you do not use is sold on the market or to the supplier. The money goes into the community's account, reinvested in expansion or shared among members.

For city halls: city halls join STUP free of charge. You pay only for the specific service you choose: setting up the community, running it, or EU funds consultancy. No hidden costs, no retainer.

From idea to hive,
in four steps.

Clear, step by step. Every stage has a visible result and a single person in charge. You set the pace, and we walk alongside you.

  1. 01
We bring the neighbours together - we identify the city hall, the associations, the citizens. A minimum of 5 members for a community.
  2. 02
We apply for EU funds - JTP, Modernisation Fund and LIFE applications. For JTP calls in Just Transition areas, public co-financing reaches up to ~98%.
  3. 03
We install + connect - panels, batteries, smart meter. Registration in the ANRE register (the energy regulator). The first energy.
  4. 04
We produce together - the energy is shared among members, the surplus goes to the market. The bill goes down; the average reductions observed in existing EU cases are 20-60%.

Every community can have its own hive.

For city halls, homeowners' associations and rural communities that want to produce their own energy. We set up the community, bring in the EU funds, coordinate the installation and keep the hive alive. You inaugurate the result.
